Tara Lemana

Kia Ora!! My name is Tara, I’m a self-taught artist based on the beautiful Kapiti Coast. I was born and spent my childhood in The Netherlands but immigrated to beautiful Aotearoa in 1990 and now consider this wonderful place my home.

As well as a visual artist and photographer, I’m a wife and mother, and a singer / songwriter. My favourite style of visual art to create is fantasy fine art composites and mixed media works, and I have a passion for Macro photography and portrait photography as well. Photography and digital media are a new direction for me, one I embarked on around two years ago. Prior to discovering a love for these media I spent most of my spare time drawing and occasionally painting. When you peruse my portfolio you will find a diverse selection of works and media, but a common thread in my work is a love of colour and a leaning towards the uplifting; the vast majority of my work is about the emotion it provokes, rather than the emotion that went into creating it.
